Description
The Lee Ram Prime Priming Unit allows the reloader to prime on the up-stroke for a more sensitive feel and increased leverage. Included are easy to change punches for both large and small primers. Fits all brands of single stage presses. This is the same tool that is supplied with the Lee Challenger and Hand Press Kit.
Notes: May not work with other manufacturers shellholders as the priming hole might not be large enough diameter for the ram prime.
Screw the shell holder adapter into your press. Install the punch holder into the ram. Snap a standard shell holder into the top of the tool.
Lower the ram just far enough to slip a case in the shell holder. Raise the ram gently until you feel the primer seat. Be sure the primer is flush or slightly recessed into the case head.
With the ram raised, place a primer into the primer guide.
For Lee Challenger and Turret Presses only
For best feed and fastest operation, place the lever in the upward position while the ram is up, as in the photo to the left.
Wear safety glasses when reloading or shooting
Be certain to use the proper primer size and type. Do not use pistol primers in rifle cases as the metal is too thin to contain the extra pressure.
Return unused primers to original container.
